More yellow...

More yellow, I know, I cant get enough! I'm making the most of the final rays of summer (which happened to go behind a cloud as I went to take these photos-typical). This top is such a cute basic piece, which can easily be dressed up or down,

I bought these culottes right before I went travelling, and I still love them 5 months later. I have had a few strange looks with the complements, but I cant help but love a marmite outfit. They have been worn in 30.C in Asia right through to the minus numbers in New Zealand. Such a great versatile piece which will no doubt see me right though winter under layers upon layers.

I love the contrast of the yellow against the navy in these pieces. When I wear bright colours I prefer to keep shapes and patterns simple. The frayed edges of both top and bottoms match, adding the perfect amount of detail for me.

Note to self, take hands out pockets for at least one photo!

Injecting a bit of colour for "summer"

This rain is not helping my holiday blues, however i'm so happy to be back in clothes I like wearing!
Words can not describe how excited I was to shop for the first time in months- I may have gone a tad over board.. I have more shopping bags than carpet right now.

I enjoying how seventies everything is at the moment, and I'm loving bright warm tones! In the hope of bringing back the summer I thought i'd inject a bit of yellow into my life.

I find this weather the hardest to dress for when its constantly grey and rainy but still warm, I always find bare legs and a thin jumper are an easy go to. If you're not keen on a whole bright outfit, keep it neutral and pair a simple bright staple, such as a skirt/top/jacket or even just an accessory.

This skirt is one of my favorite things in my wardrobe atm, its so versatile for day or evening, and the little slit at the front is such a cute little detail.

So I was recently in Nottingham visiting my friend at uni, and it is such a nice place! The town centre is so big, and all the buildings are so pretty, naturally we spent most of the time eating and drinking though while we all caught up.

Annies burger shack was the first place we visited, and a few cocktails and blog pictures later we finally got a table- and it was worth it. I had a giant taco veggie burger including rice, tortilla chips, salsa ect with sweet potato fries on the side, it was amazing. As a veggie burger fanatic, I would definitely recommend. One of my friends had a peanut butter and jam beef burger, She wasn't quite as happy with her choice by the last bite when her mouth was glued together with peanut butter, but it had to be tried. I'm surprised they haven't opened a second restaurant in London or in any other big cities, but for now if anyone is ever in Nottingham you must visit, and let me know what you get!

Anyway we spent the rest of our day in a food coma, until we had enough energy to go out and buy some wine for the evening. The outfit i'm wearing turned out to be perfect for hiding a food baby and for the sunny/extremely windy weather of Notts. I had been meaning to style this dress for ages. I picked it up in a charity shop for £2 pounds a while back (i think it may be nightwear) as i thought it would be a handy layer to have in my wardrobe. I dressed it with one of my fave Zara jumpers, however I think it would also work well under an over sized sweatshirt.

I find charity shops are the perfect place to get simple pieces of clothing, that you just want as a layer or extra detail to complete an outfit. They're mostly very cheap, and you may end up with so much great stuff that you didn't even know existed/ or that you were after anyway. The prices are nothing compared to high street, and your giving to charity so its a win win!

I didn't have a chance to do any blog pictures the second day, which was probably for the best as I would have looked very hungover, But we just had brunch at gorgeous cafe called Delilahs (photo of the inside on my Instagram), which was lovely, and of course did a bit of shopping.

Just a quick post, pictures from my second day in Liverpool. Kept debating whether to post this or not as i don't really like the photos, but here it is anyway.

I bought this skirt for a few pounds a couple of  years ago in a charity shop, and I still love it, so easy to throw on with a baggy jumper. It is normally ankle length, (think i rolled it up one to many times), but I find this is such an easy length to wear for a casual look.

The colour of this jumper is one of my faves atm, perfect for this sunny spring like weather! Yellow tones are an easy way to brighten up a monotone outfit when a little splash of colour is needed.

I've had quite a few city breaks recently, so of course, took the opportunity to take some blog pictures, so i'm a bit backlogged atm. I'm trying to not post them all in one week, so everyone doesn't get sick of the sight of me- if theyre not already.

But anyway, ill cut to the chase. Spent last weekend in Liverpool with my mum for an early Mothers day which was lovely. Filled with lots of wondering, shopping, tapas, and too many cocktails-naturally. Liverpool is deffo my new favorite place, everyone's so friendly compared to London, and there's such fun night life! So this my 'extremely hungover, but must shop' look, above.

I don't normally shop in forever 21, but there is a massive one in Liverpool. We popped in to look at their sports clothes selection, which is always quite good and cheap. However I came out with a whole bundle of outfits, this knitted dress included. I love the colour and the ribbed texture. As it was just a bit too cold for a bare legs, these trousers are the perfect casual alternative.

Will post my other outfit of the day soon

Been meaning to do this post for about two weeks now, but i've been super busy and had no broadband at home for ages, but about 50 other blog posts on Double denim later, its finally uploaded.

Took these during a cute spontaneous day in London with my friend, trying to not spend a full day shopping on oxford street as we usually do. Went to art galleries, vintage shopping, and eating.. of course. There is the cutest little Turkish restaurant, called Gem, in Islington which I
would defiantly recommend if you're near by. The menu is chosen by the chef that day, and they give you lots of mini traditional dishes to share. You cant beat a bit of humous and halloumi. We also went to see The curious incident of the dog in the night time at the theatre, which was also amazing!

Anyway, went for an easy double demin look, for a long day walking around London, and of course a pair of cosy nike's, An over load of demin is so on trend right now, and so easy just to through together- you cant go wrong!
