Stripes on stripes

Lipstick- Sephora rouge, jealous

So its getting colder but its not coat weather yet. I recently saw this shirt in h&m and fell in love. I originally planed to wear it as a dress before realizing the sides and front had massive slits up them , which probably wouldn't give me the exact look i had planned ...(Also i think id get frost bite) However the slits just makes me love it even more, and you cant go wrong with pin stripes.

Having a casual day today, so I kept this look simple, teaming my shirt with skinny black jeans, black leather tote bag and my new favorite mules which I will be wearing non stop until it snows. The red stripes on the shirt are quite thin, so i'm wearing a red lip and nails to bring out the colour. And of course a few silver rings, because i'm a ring addict.

I went to London today with my two favorite girls Holly and Niamh, for a well awaited shopping trip. Its safe to say we made the most of it and definitely shopped till we dropped, and even fitted in a little trip to the National portrait gallery to see the BP portrait awards, which was amazing as always. it was a very lovely day!

The weather is so on and off at the moment whatever I wear i'm always going to be too hot and too cold in the same day. So when i came across this jacket in Primark (for only £16 eek!) i fell in love. Its so light and thin, perfect for autumn, I love way it hangs and of course its beautiful shade of lilac. perfect!

I wanted to keep my outfit simple, Im not usually a massive wearer of trousers, not that i don't like them, but my bum and thighs do not agree with them. However i have finally found the perfect pair to fit my shape that are so wearable, and I will be dressing them up and down for many different occasions. In this case teamed with a little cropped vest and mac worked best, yay for ASOS!

I forget how much of a workout shopping is, who needs the gym?! However as always, I chose the wrong footwear and was crippled by the end of the day, I practically crawled home. But I still love these heeled sandals, which it will soon be to cold to wear, so was worth it, kind of.. I don't think ill ever learn.

Shades of grey

I've always been the biggest fan of any kind of midi I can get my hands on, and these culottes are the newest addition to my growing collection. I'm only 5"3, so I was a bit cautious that I would look like a 7 year old trying on my dads trousers, but I think I can just about get away with this length thanks to ASOS and they're petite sizes (hopefully you agree anyway..).
I'm very much obsessed with charity shops and finding bargains that I know no one else has (especially when i then see a high street version for 10x the price!). This beaut little t-shirt I picked up in my local town for £3! I love the minty grey tones and silver pattern against the culottes, perfect for the dull autumn weather.

I thought id keep accessories simple, just adding a bit of black and silver detailing where it was needed, and of course my fav little strappy black boots that i picked up in a Topshop sale little while ago, extra height is always welcome.

VB is never wrong

So I've been keeping up with New York fashion week whenever i get the chance, making me soo soo jealous of everyone who is there! So many collections i adore including Oscer de la renta's,  Erin Fetherston's sheer lace,  Micheal Kors floral sheer skirts, and of course Victoria Beckham's, as always,  simplistic yet beautiful designs.

I've recently been trying to get into digital art, which is so much harder than i was expecting (as you can tell) so thought id try and create a quick sketch of some of VB's collection on the runway. Maybe more to come (if i can ever get used to being apart from my trusty HB)

first post!

I didn't really know what to put in my first post so I just thought id say a few things about myself..
So hi, my names Yas, and I love all things fashion and art related. I'm 19, and have just finished doing an art foundation, which was amazing, however I still have absolutely no idea what to do with my life besides wanting to be involved in the fashion/art industry.
So beginning this gap year with no idea where i'm heading, I decided the only logical thing to do at this point was to start a blog. So here i am.
