Dress up your evening away.

Here's my final outfit post and I must say it's one of my favourites from this trip. Lace and embroidery have been everywhere throughout this whole year and I have definitely jumped on the band wagon.

I'm drawn in by any intricate detail and both this skirt and top caught my eye right away. A touch of lace really adds some elegance to an outfit, no matter what style of item it is. I'd wear this body with a casual look, such as jeans or culottes, when I want to style them up into an evening outfit but not look to dressy. Or of course with this beaut matching skirt from ASOS, for an evening away.

I'm a sucker for a matching pattern/fabric, especially when they're not created to be a co-ord, so the mix of black sheer fabric and lace throughout this outfit me so happy.

Queen of the Castle

As we'd been climbing a mountain the day before, we thought we'd have a nice relaxing day in town eating everything in sight. We took these shots in the grounds of the castle as it was so beautiful! (Nové Město nad Metují in case you're wondering)

I like to keep it quite simple when mooching around eating all day, so a monochrome skirt and top combo is my go to. I never knew how much use I could get out of a little white skirt, but this little leather baby has come out on every holiday this year and goes with absolutely everything!

If you are an all black everything kinda girl, adding a little touch of white can make a massive difference in brightening up your outfit to make yourself look a bit more summary. Spice up your life - but not too much.

Monsoon boots on

First of all apologies, I appear to have brought the monsoon season in SE Asia back to England, what is going on?! I've been dying to do a post on these trousers for ages, so finally here it is. If I could wear these everyday and night I would, they are just so comfortable and fab!

The only detail i'm not so keen on is the elasticated waist band, so prefer to pair with a baggy top/jumper (mine are a size too big so don't cinch in at the waist.) However I do think they could also be dressed up with some casual heels and a tighter cropped top if you prefer so show a bit of shape unlike me,

This jumper is another Topshop item i've been loving recently. If you follow my blog, you'll know i'm a major Polo neck addict, and this is my new number one.The zip detail is what won me over, this therefore makes it perfectly acceptable to add yet another neutral jumper to my vast collection. Anyway whats not to love? Khaki- check, Loose fitted-Check, Silver hardware-check

More yellow...

More yellow, I know, I cant get enough! I'm making the most of the final rays of summer (which happened to go behind a cloud as I went to take these photos-typical). This top is such a cute basic piece, which can easily be dressed up or down,

I bought these culottes right before I went travelling, and I still love them 5 months later. I have had a few strange looks with the complements, but I cant help but love a marmite outfit. They have been worn in 30.C in Asia right through to the minus numbers in New Zealand. Such a great versatile piece which will no doubt see me right though winter under layers upon layers.

I love the contrast of the yellow against the navy in these pieces. When I wear bright colours I prefer to keep shapes and patterns simple. The frayed edges of both top and bottoms match, adding the perfect amount of detail for me.

Note to self, take hands out pockets for at least one photo!

Injecting a bit of colour for "summer"

This rain is not helping my holiday blues, however i'm so happy to be back in clothes I like wearing!
Words can not describe how excited I was to shop for the first time in months- I may have gone a tad over board.. I have more shopping bags than carpet right now.

I enjoying how seventies everything is at the moment, and I'm loving bright warm tones! In the hope of bringing back the summer I thought i'd inject a bit of yellow into my life.

I find this weather the hardest to dress for when its constantly grey and rainy but still warm, I always find bare legs and a thin jumper are an easy go to. If you're not keen on a whole bright outfit, keep it neutral and pair a simple bright staple, such as a skirt/top/jacket or even just an accessory.

This skirt is one of my favorite things in my wardrobe atm, its so versatile for day or evening, and the little slit at the front is such a cute little detail.

Just a quick post, pictures from my second day in Liverpool. Kept debating whether to post this or not as i don't really like the photos, but here it is anyway.

I bought this skirt for a few pounds a couple of  years ago in a charity shop, and I still love it, so easy to throw on with a baggy jumper. It is normally ankle length, (think i rolled it up one to many times), but I find this is such an easy length to wear for a casual look.

The colour of this jumper is one of my faves atm, perfect for this sunny spring like weather! Yellow tones are an easy way to brighten up a monotone outfit when a little splash of colour is needed.

The stripe obsession continues.. but for once in a fitted form, say what?! I actually got both this jumper and skirt in separate Zara sales, but they are the perfect match! I'm all for a matching set, so its extra exciting when I buy items separately and they're patterns or colours are identical or compliment each other perfectly! The fact that they are both knit wear makes me love these pieces even more! However the jumper is rather long, so i think i may cut that, but for now, you cant go wrong with a simple tuck.

I don't know why i continue to buy summer clothes right though winter- these heeled sandals being the prime example, I blame topshop. Anyway, a chunky knit and coat cancels out bare legs or a peep toe right? (yes). Anyway in this case, my skirt is also knitwear, therefore definitely suitable for snowy conditions..

Now to go and put on some socks..
