Been awhile since my last blog post, since then i've quit my job, and i'm off travelling at the end of this week! I really wanted to fit in another post before I left as I have quite a few outfits to show, but these last few weeks have flown by! So I wont be posting for a few months, but will make sure I do a few massive travel posts on everywhere i visit to make up for it! For now, follow my Instagram -Yas grottick for updates!

These pics were from a few weeks ago, I was on my way back from getting my Vietnamese Visa. I accidentally managed to forget to bring cash, resulting in me running to the station and back in these heels not long before these photos were taken- So excuse my sweaty face, ew.

I've become such a trouser lover recently, especially if they're striped! I'm actually sad that its going to be too hot to wear them soon- never thought id say that! I think a mixture of a smart look with a hint of lace or skin really adds too an outfit. In this case I wore a lace bralette with a low buttoned shirt to take away from that office look. Subtlety is the key though.

Anyway that's it for now, I will be back! Hope everyone enjoys their summer.

Double Denim

Been meaning to do this post for about two weeks now, but i've been super busy and had no broadband at home for ages, but about 50 other blog posts on Double denim later, its finally uploaded.

Took these during a cute spontaneous day in London with my friend, trying to not spend a full day shopping on oxford street as we usually do. Went to art galleries, vintage shopping, and eating.. of course. There is the cutest little Turkish restaurant, called Gem, in Islington which I
would defiantly recommend if you're near by. The menu is chosen by the chef that day, and they give you lots of mini traditional dishes to share. You cant beat a bit of humous and halloumi. We also went to see The curious incident of the dog in the night time at the theatre, which was also amazing!

Anyway, went for an easy double demin look, for a long day walking around London, and of course a pair of cosy nike's, An over load of demin is so on trend right now, and so easy just to through together- you cant go wrong!

Its that time of that year again, LFW! Here is my outfit choice of the day taken on my way to my first show, I was actually super excited, not that you can tell by my bitch face in these pictures, oops. I love seeing runway shows, the atmosphere is always amazing and its so exciting seeing brand new ideas and designs going down the catwalk right in front of you in such a fast paced show.

Anyway I've been dying to wear this hat for ages, I absolutely love the colour! I've always found it quite hard to wear yellow, but its slowly becoming my new fave. I find a splash of yellow is perfect with a dark navy/grey outfit, or as i've worn in this post, camels and whites, to bring a little pop of colour.

I wore with my tan culottes and this cute little tie around dress from ASOS which i've folded up as a top for a simple, slightly sophisticated look. I love the belted detail against the structured shift dress, which worked perfectly to disguise the hem when i folded it up- a simple and easy way to mix up things in your wardrobe.

Now, time for cocktails.

Camel in Carnaby

Spent the day around Carnaby st yesterday, London is always my favorite place to be near Christmas time. Although i do hate how busy it gets. Went to book flights for a trip next year, however neither that or beginning to Christmas shop (for everyone else other than my wardrobe) happened. But anyway in other news, my Asos camel coat finally arrived! But as always, wishing for it too be longer, why is nothing ever ankle length?! I do still love it though!

I do enjoy a legs out, over sized jumper combo, and this snake skin leather skirt, and chunky jumper are the perfect match. Wearing my long pinstriped h&m shirt underneath for added layers, and to break up the cream and black. I'm avoiding tights this year, so it will be bare legs and lots of layers until i get frost bite or put on a pair of trousers! So lets just all hope that it stops raining and doesn't snow for more than one day this year.

crippled for a good pair of heels

I went to London today with my two favorite girls Holly and Niamh, for a well awaited shopping trip. Its safe to say we made the most of it and definitely shopped till we dropped, and even fitted in a little trip to the National portrait gallery to see the BP portrait awards, which was amazing as always. it was a very lovely day!

The weather is so on and off at the moment whatever I wear i'm always going to be too hot and too cold in the same day. So when i came across this jacket in Primark (for only £16 eek!) i fell in love. Its so light and thin, perfect for autumn, I love way it hangs and of course its beautiful shade of lilac. perfect!

I wanted to keep my outfit simple, Im not usually a massive wearer of trousers, not that i don't like them, but my bum and thighs do not agree with them. However i have finally found the perfect pair to fit my shape that are so wearable, and I will be dressing them up and down for many different occasions. In this case teamed with a little cropped vest and mac worked best, yay for ASOS!

I forget how much of a workout shopping is, who needs the gym?! However as always, I chose the wrong footwear and was crippled by the end of the day, I practically crawled home. But I still love these heeled sandals, which it will soon be to cold to wear, so was worth it, kind of.. I don't think ill ever learn.

xx
